Scrappy Patchwork Owl by Lizzy

So, after my scrappy trip along quilt I’ve made some assorted cushions but still had a couple of the panels left over.

I needed to make a gift for our newest granddaughter Chloe for her 1st birthday shortly. I had in mind a stuffed toy, owls are all the rage right now so this chap took shape!

Here’s a couple of pointy ears, pinned to the inside ready for sewing together.
My panels were slightly oblong so I just sewed up 3 sides, slanting the top two corners

Once sewn I turned the body inside out, pressing lightly including a turn up around base

Stuffed lightly then machine stitched the base together

Then the features were added to make him come alive

About Craft Hill Fabric Artisans

Hi, we are a mother and daughter tea drinking, tattoo wearing duo of crafters. Every Wednesday evening we get together and make beautiful things for friends, family and sometimes ourselves. Helped along the way by sometime models & general pests Izzy the Border Terrier & Archie the Patterdale terrier (spot them in our pic's) We are both living in beautiful Devon but grew up in Norfolk. We call ourselves Fabric Artisans & this has come down through five generations of seamstresses, needle women & crafters of all things fabric.
